Yandere High School was a Minecraft Roleplay series created by ItsFunneh, PaintingRainbows and GoldenGlare, with some characters/voices played by DraconiteDragon and LunarEclipse as well. The series included 80 episodes released between September 17, 2015 and August 25, 2017.
History
The first season first premiered on September 17, 2015, and ended production on May 9, 2016. The second season promptly began on May 21, 2016 and ended production on August 25, 2017, marking the end of the series, and leaving it on a cliffhanger. It is currently unfinished and it will never be finished as it 'became un-enjoyable to roleplay' (due to many reasons that are listed in the paragraph below, quoted by the KREW themselves.) In a KREW Q&A[1], they were asked by a fan about the continuation of YHS and they said the following:
It’s definitely discontinued, and it’s not because they don’t love the series. Betty mentions that when they were making it, they “loved making it to death.” They all loved getting home from work/school, writing scripts, acting it out with all the Minecraft characters, but afterwards, they started getting demotivated due to the map constantly crashing, lagging out, and eventually getting corrupted. They also mention that it would take nearly 3 hours just to record a little segment in the series, and was very time consuming, to the point where it stopped being fun. The KREW places emphasis on the fact that they loved every single episode that came out, and it was definitely fun while it lasted, but it will no longer be continued due to it not being their passion anymore.
They still sometimes mention YHS or watch YHS related fan-videos during #KREWREACTS and other livestreams, which shows that they still acknowledge it once in a while, and still enjoy fan creations of the discontinued series.
Fans like to claim that they discontinued it because they blew up the map in their 1 Million Subscriber Livestream[2], and frequently reference one of Wenny’s tweets from 2017 that has a photo attached to it with a blown up picture of Funneh and Gold’s dorms. However, this was a different or old copy of the map, which was duplicated just so they could mess around with fans on the set of YHS, blowing it up, playing various games (such as a Zombie Apocalypse minigame) on it, and summoning the Wither. There were still episodes that released after this livestream, so we can deduce that the original map was still safe and intact after the livestream (until its inevitable corruption.)
Story
The series is divided into two parts with two different protagonists: ItsFunneh and Yandere Chan.
The main story is about Funneh and Gold's life during their High School years in Yandere High School, where they meet many friends, potential love interests, and enemies as the story progresses. While encountering various shenanigans that usually causes them to get in trouble.
The second main story is about a mentally-ill student, Yandere-Chan who is obsessed and fell in love with her childhood crush Senpai. It follows her atrocious journey of getting rid of anyone she deemed a threat, and hiring many people to further accomplish her goal.

Trivia
- The logo for the series is inspired by the logo of Yale University.
- The series was inspired by an unfinished game called Yandere Simulator by YandereDev.
- Because the KREW didn't have other voice actors other than themselves, most of the characters don't speak in cutscenes. Characters are also sometimes replaced with NPCS as they only had 3 people to play the other characters in each scene, as Gold and Funneh would play themselves.
- The Yandere High building changes drastically (almost unrecognizable) from season 1 and 2, as they rebuilt it since things were getting more professional.
- This is the most popular roleplay series KREW has ever made.
- Kim has previously joked about hiring an “epic producer” to make a Netflix adaptation of the show one day since it’s been discontinued and they will no longer work on it themselves.
